How to build your first app with Claude Code (even if you've never coded before)

I really think vibe coding is the biggest opportunity of our lifetime.

Before, you had to have some sort of special skills in order to build. You needed to know programming. You need to have a computer science degree. You needed to know people.

Now all of those barriers are gone. ANYONE, and I mean ANYONE with an idea can turn it into a real life product in no time.

You can go from idea to product faster than any time in history.

I proved this. In 5 months I built and launched Creator Buddy without writing a single line of code. I did it all by myself with absolutely no help. It’s now making $300,000 a year.

My mission is to open up the eyes to as many people as possible of this. I really think ‘vibe coding’ (using AI to build apps) could change so many people’s lives.

I think tons of people are constantly coming up with ideas for products that solve challenges, but so few people actually execute on those ideas. Most people just don’t have the skills/discipline to do anything about it.

If you’re one of those people, I have a quick, short guide on how to get started.

Vibe coding changed my life, and I really think it can change yours. Even if you never launch an app live, I think just BUILDING anything will have a wildly positive impact on your life. It will give you purpose and a productive activity to do outside work.

Here’s a quick guide:

1. Install Claude Code
   Paste this command into your terminal or console:
   curl -fsSL

   https://claude.ai/install.sh

   | bash

2. Sign up for a Claude premium account
   The $20 tier can get you your first simple app built.

3. Create a new folder, then open it in your terminal
   This is where your first project will live

4. Type ‘claude’ into your terminal
   This starts Claude Code in your selected folder

5. Hit shift+tab x2 to go into plan mode
   This will help Claude plan the app you’re going to build

6. Think of a simple app you use every day (maybe a todo list or calendar app?)
   The best apps to build at first are replicas of the current apps you use daily that you’re paying for

7. Tell Claude Code your idea and tell it to build a simple version using NextJS
   NextJS is a popular web framework that is easy to build on.

8. Once it’s done building, ask it how to run the app

Boom, you have your first app built. You just took your first step in your builder’s journey.

Now every day spend 5 minutes adding more to the app. Adding one more feature.

I promise it’ll energize you. It’ll give you more purpose. There is nothing more satisfying than building and using something you made from scratch.
